The top-of-the-range system is Park Assist, which can steer ŠKODA OCTAVIA into parking spaces almost by itself.

Park Assist helps the driver by automatically carrying out the optimal steering wheel movements, the driver just has to accelerate and brake.

The OCTAVIA can search for a suitable parking spot at speeds of up to 40 km/h. Once the sensors find a space large enough (i.e. length of the car + 80 cm), the system guides the driver in.

When the ŠKODA OCTAVIA is towing a trailer, the system takes over steering when reversing slowly. The driver just has to set the angle they would like to use for reversing.

When reverse gear is engaged, the camera in the tailgate is activated and the image is shown on the infotainment system display. Dynamic guide lines laid over the image show the direction in which the vehicle would go with the position of the steering wheel or indicate when it should be turned.

The system warns of the potential risk of collision with obstacles during parking by drawing data from sensors, the driving parameters and the steering wheel angle.
